Dear Fellow Educator,

As the founder of Red Rhino Tours and an educator myself, I combine into each program I design the passion for inspiring students with the passion I have for Africa. I custom design each tour myself--working closely with you to make sure that the experience is unique, inspiring, and designed around your specific area of interest. Travel to Africa inspires new perspectives, studies are enhanced upon return, and an eye-opening appreciation of the world develops. If you are like other educators we have worked with, you have students who would love to be able to travel with you to Africa and experience what they are learning about in their studies firsthand. If you are interested in learning more about this unique opportunity to travel to Africa for free and inspire lives in the process, I would enjoy communicating with you.

Asante Sana,

Greg Traverso

"Red Rhino was a great company and especially ideal for educational groups. The guides and drivers were incredibly knowledgeable about natural history and the varied cultures of East Africa. I probably learned as my participants. Just as importantly, the guides and drivers were personable, resourceful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Tony and Joseph did a wonderful job on the logistics of our trip and keeping it running smoothly. I would recommend Red Rhino to any group that desires both the educational opportunity and adventure of Africa."

"Red Rhino arranged 2 wonderful safaris for us. They catered to our tight schedules, individual interests, and limited budgets with grace and cordiality. Red Rhino showed us urban and rural life without risking our physical or gastrointestinal safety, and recruited a charming ornithological expert from the National Museum to guide us. Sure, we saw the Big 5 and got plenty of pictures, but we also marveled at our cook's wicked wit and market savvy, shared political discussions with our driver and visited his daughter's hotely, and argued about bird species identification in sign language with Masai herders. Red Rhino gave us a terrific experience."

Teachers:

A few unique aspects of the experience with Red Rhino include:

  • Personalized service from start to finish taking the stress away from you.
  • A scheduled online web based slide show and real time conversation with me detailing all aspects of the tour for the group to ask questions and provide an advance and close look at the region you will be visiting: its people, animals, and land.
  • Our Pre-Trip Packet which provides the students with answers on everything from suggestions of what to pack, passport and visa formalities, innoculation/vacination recommendations, and a host of other answers to questions that arise.

Students:

Are you wondering what to do with your life? Do you want something that will expand your personal horizons? Are you wondering what kind of adventure to have during your summer or other time off from school? Travel to Africa and have a total experience with the people, animals, and land of the amazing continent of Africa! Get involved in local communities, go on safari, camp in the bush, visit African villages, work at an orphanage or other humanitarian effort, and bring back memories, photographs, and stories to last a lifetime! This adventure will change the way you see the world and prepare you for your future like no other experience can. You must have respect for cultures different from your own and be a person with an open mind and a sense of humor.

Parents:

Have you been wondering how best to expose your son/daughter to the world and how to integrate their life in a very real way? Do you want to offer an experience to your son/daughter that will help him/her expand personal horizons and add immeasurable depth to their life? The kind of personal transformation that takes place when one travels to Africa is great: perspectives change, fascination with the world develops, studies are enhanced upon return, an appreciation of America is expanded, and the life-experience that is gained will effect all facets of your son/daughter’s life for years to come.
